V.F.W. POST #4325 SCHOLARSHIP

· A scholarship will be awarded to a male graduate in the amount of $500 (five hundred dollars) and to a female graduate in the amount of $500. (five hundred dollars).

· The applicant shall be a son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter of a member, in good standing, of Mattoon V.F.W. Post #4325 or its Auxiliary.

· The applicant must have been in the upper 50% (fifty percent) of the graduating class.

· A certified copy of grades transcript and proof of financial need – a copy of the latest Federal Income Tax Return of the applicant and the parents.

· The award may be used at any accredited university or college. No specific field of education courses will be required, only that course taken will be directed towards an academic degree.

· The application and all necessary enclosures shall be returned and in the hands of the Mattoon V.F.W. Post 4325 not later than April 15^th.

· The VFW Post #4325 reserves the right to withdraw this scholarship fund at any time.

· Please note that you are applying for one year only and that it will be necessary for you to reapply for each year that you will be attending school.
