ILLINI CLUB SCHOLARSHIP (EDGAR COUNTY)

The East Central Illinois Illini Club with the Alumni Association will award a $1,000 scholarship to any high school senior in Edgar County and Marshall, IL. The applicant must be accepted to the University of Illinois as an incoming freshman. Forms are available at the Edgar County Bank and Trust or your high school guidance counselor. Completed forms are due to the Edgar County Bank & Trust by May 10, 2008. More information can be obtained from the high school guidance office.

DEXTER(STEPHEN) and DOLE (EMILY JAN TIPTON) SCHOLARSHIP Note: Mattoon High School only

Scholarships are awarded to graduates of good scholastic standing from Mattoon High School. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need. Students must attend the University of Illinois (Champaign, Chicago or Springfield). The value and number of scholarships awarded varies depending upon the amount of funds that are available for distribution each given year. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years with the following requirements. The student must; 1) re-apply each year, 2) maintain a “C” average or better, 3) enroll for a minimum of 12 semester hours (or be considered a full-time student), 4) submit copies of each semester’s grades. Applications are available from the Guidance Office of the high school or at the Trust Department of The First National Bank, 507 Lake Land Blvd., PO Box 685, Mattoon, IL. The application period is March 1st through April 15th.
